In the late 1970s and early 1980s, when I first began quilting, many of my nieces and nephews and many of my friends were having babies. I made many little baby quilts to give as gifts during those years. I didn't photograph all of them, but here are a few that I did photograph. Although these were neither art pieces nor masterpieces, I enjoyed making them and learned much about quilting techniques by making them. Most of them were made from cotton/poly blend fabrics, which were popular at the time, and most contained gingham checks and dots.
