Design
Concept
This quilt is the first of a series of quilts based on photos taken
at dawn on a beach. This beach is on Kauai in an area where we were
the first humans of the day to walk on the sand.
The figures were appliqued onto a background fabric and quilted
with several different colors of thread, using patterns created
by ocean waves on sand as the tide receeds. The fabrics are both
part of Caryl's second collection of "Gradations" by Benartex |
