                | Design 
                  Concept  This quilt was a  graduation gift to my nephew Stephen Bryer who is also an artist. It is made  from recycled blue jeans and other clothing as well as men’s shirting fabrics.  I incorporated many pockets and other clothing details. The center and outer  border were stitched together more or less crazy-quilt style. The inner border  was pieced in small log cabin blocks. The binding was pieced from various men’s  shirting fabrics. The machine quilting was done with invisible, nylon thread. I  quilted “Steve” into one of the blocks along the outer left border.  |
