Design
Concept
This quilt was a graduation gift to my nephew Stephen Bryer who is also an artist. It is made from recycled blue jeans and other clothing as well as men’s shirting fabrics. I incorporated many pockets and other clothing details. The center and outer border were stitched together more or less crazy-quilt style. The inner border was pieced in small log cabin blocks. The binding was pieced from various men’s shirting fabrics. The machine quilting was done with invisible, nylon thread. I quilted “Steve” into one of the blocks along the outer left border. |
