Design Concept

This design began with a macro photograph of a columbine blossom by my husband, Ron Gentry. I added digital editing and digital painting then had the final design printed by Spoonflower. I thread-painted the flower and added machine quilted columbine leaves to the background. The backing fabric was hand painted with dye.
