                      | Original pencil sketch
   | This is the third quilt in a series about
birds that mate for life, and the second about eagles. I created
an abstract background reminicent of the landscape around
Whidby Island in Puget Sound since that is the area were I
have most often seen eagles in person. The quilt was created
as a commission for a private client.
The eagles are made from fabrics that were
hand painted and then heavily stitched with several different
colors of thread. The more abstract background was also made
from hand painted fabrics, and the trees were made from commercial
fabric in the Glacier Park Collection by Caryl Bryer Fallert
for Benartex. The binding is made from the same fabric.
