Design Concept

Duet #6 is an updated version of my 2008 quilt Duet #3. Starting with a photo of the unquilted top of Duet #3, which was pieced & appliqued from my dye-painted fabrics, I digitally painted some of the background areas and redrew the heads of the eagles. The original image was enlarged and mirror imaged. It is quilted in many different colors of polyester and acrylic thread. The binding was designed especially for this quilt. The backing fabric is from one of my collections for Benartex.
