In September of 2022, we took a cruise from Toronto to Portland ME, through the Canadian maritime provinces. One of our stops was at Gaspe, Quebec, where we visited Forillion National Park. My husband Ron Gentry photographed this Cormorant on the rocks, overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence. |

I altered the photo with digital painting and used a photo of one of my hand-painted fabrics for the background. |
| The image was printed by Spoonflower. After it was printed, I did additional drawing with white pencil and black marker. It is quilted with several different colors of polyester and acrylic thread. The matching binding strips were designed and printed at the same time as the quilt top. The backing fabric is from my Glacier Park collection for Benartex. |
