Design Concept

Glacier #1 is an abstract composition, based on a photo I took in Antarctica in February 2020. The quilt topis about half digital painting and half heavily edited photograph. The composite image was printed on cotton fabric by Spoonflower. It was heavily quilted, to the level of thread painting, using many different colors of acrylic, polyester, and metallic thread.
