          Concept This  piece began as a composition of organic shapes arranged on a painted background  fabric.  The organic shapes were cut from  fabric dyed in a gradation of shades from red to green.  These shapes were then stitched over with  various colors of thread.  The finished  composition reminded me of a microscopic photograph of a primitive plant. |  |
