Design Concept
This is one of a series of quilts about what I think it
would feel like to fly with a group of migrating birds.
It is a miniature version of my 1995 American Quilters Society
Best of Show quilt, Migration #2. A free pattern for this quilt
is available on our ARTICLES page. The fabrics used in this quilt
are from my original Glacier Park Splash and Ombre Stripe
Collections from Benartex. The goose triangles are from
the fossil fern collection from Benartex. The black birds
are machine appliqued, and the free-motion quilting was
done free-hand with no marking of the quilt top.
