Design Concept
This quilt was done on commission for Kent & Julie
Phillips, Naperville Illinois. The background and border
were hand painted with dye. The birds were machine appliqued,
and are similar the the birds used in Migration #2. The
free-motion quilting was done with no marking of the quilt
top, using many different colors of cotton top-stitching
thread.
