Design
Concept
This is one of a long series of miniature quilts I have made. It was one of my first experiments with ink jet printing on fabric. The center panel is a dye-painted fabric, on which I painted the shape of a heron. The tree branch was drawn with ink and extends from the borders through the center panel.The border is a fabric that I also painted with dye. The bird is quilted in silver thread, and the branch and background are quilted with various polyester threads. |
