Design Concept

Out of the blue is one of a series of curved composition studies., in which I am playing with positive and negative spaces, and the juxtaposition of pattern and color.
The fabrics were painted with fiber reactive dyes. Out of the Blue was quilted with cotton top stitching thread in various organic patterns.
