This abstract design began as an experiment to see what would happen if I filled the spaces in a series of overlapping curves with images from my hand-painted fabrics. The digital design was printed on cotton fabric by Spoonflower. When the fabric came back from the printer the spikey shapes began to look a bit like shark's teeth. My husband came up with the title, a comment on the vicious political rhetoric flying around at the time I was making this piece. |
