        | This is a continuation of my series that  combines zigzags and spirals with illusions of transparency. It is based on the  same basic design as Electric Snails #1, but all of the colors were changed. As  I played with the design on the computer, I added rectangles and further  altered the colors within the rectangles to see how far I could push the  complexity of the design before it became just too much. I may have reached the  limit or exceeded it.  In the quilting, I used many different colors of thread and  had fun playing with different quilting patterns in each segment of the design.  The backing fabric is the brightest fabric from my Splash collection for Benartex. |
