Design
Concept
I was experimenting with hand dyeing fabrics and then discharging some of the dye, using natural objects to create a pattern on the fabric. This piece turned out so well I couldn’t bear to cut it up, so I made a border for it and used it as a central motif. The border was machine pieced and machine quilted. The center is hand quilted. |
