Design Concept
This is the thirteenth quilt in a series based on pencil sketches
of fantasy flowers. As the sketches evolved they became more plant-like,
so the image could also be a fantasy plant, leaf or flower.
The piecing was done with fabric that I hand dyed in gradations
of color and value.
This quilt lead to several other similar designs with backgrounds
broken into curved templates arranged in gradations of light to
dark values.
