Concept This is one of a series of quilts in which three-dimensional, constructed tucks are pieced into a pieced background. The background was pieced from a gradation of black, white, and grey. The tucks are black-grey-white on the right sides and rainbow hues on the left sides. A checked border of the same two gradations surrounds the center panel. This quilt was made as a commission for a private collector in St. Louis, MO. It was presented to her son as a wedding gift.
