Concept This is the tenth quilt in a series incorporating constructed tucks into a pieced background. The tucks are constructed from fabrics dyed in a gradation of colors from green to blue to purple to fuchsia on one sed, and either black or white on the other side. In this quilt the rucks form part of a wide border surrounding a center block which is pieced from the same colors and arranged, more or less, in the traditional rail fence pattern. Machine quilting in a wavy, curving pattern carries the design from the center out into the un-pleatd sections of the wide border.  In the center of the back is a traditional “Pinwheel Square” block. | |
