Concept This quilt was commissioned by friends in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It is a likeness of their home. I worked from a photograph provided by the home owners. It is machine appliqued, using a variety of fabrics, including some of my own hand-dyed weed cloth for the foliage. The raw edges of the fabric in the maple tree and the blue spruce tree are frayed to give them a three dimensional look. |
