Quilts by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry at
Les Jardins de Magali, Lauris, France
May 8 – May 18, 2014
The twelve quilts (selected from Caryl's traveling exhibit "30 Quilts for 30 Years"), were all made between 2010-2014. They revisit many of the themes of my past, award-winning
work, and introduce new themes. Although there is diversity
in style, the uniform size of the quilts (30" x
30") (76cm x 76cm) pulls the exhibit together visually. All of these
quilts were made with my one-of-a-kind hand-painted fabric, or fabric from the various collections
I have designed for Benartex, which are based on my
original hand-dyed and painted fabrics. Below are the quilts we plan to show at this venue.
The exhibit
premiered at the International Quilt Festival in Houston
TX in Oct./Nov. 2013. Subsequently it will travel to other museums, galleries, and shows. I have made more than thirty quilts for this exhibit, so different quilts may be seen at different venues. If
you are interested in hosting this exhibition, please contact us.
