Color in Motion
Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts, January 14 - April 12, 2015
30 Quilts for 30 Years and a Retrospective of the work of Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry |
This exhibit combines a retrospective of my past work with my current traveling show, 30 Quilts for 30 Years, which celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of
making my first art quilt in 1983. The thirty quilts, all of which
are new, revisit many of the themes of my past, award-winning
work, and also introduce some new themes. The retrospective portion of the exhibit will include the very first quilt I made in 1976 (the first time this quilt has been shown) and other work, representing various periods in my quilting-art career. The show also includes several pieces of art to wear. 30 Quilts for 30 Years
premiered in the fall of 2013 at the International Quilt Festival in Houston,
TX. After the show in Wisconsin, it will continue to travel through December, 2015. Scroll down to preview the quilts.
LECTURE/SEMINAR:
